Rumelikavagi

Rumelikavagi is located in Sariyer,on the european side of Istanbul.It is on the coast of Bosphorus.Fish restaurants are popular places of Rumelikavagi.There is a castle on the top of Rumelikavagi,which is called Polikhion castle,Asomaton castle or Imros castle.It was built by Manuel Kommenos in the 12th century to control the custom points.And after 100 years later Yoros castle was built in Anadolukavagi across this castle.There are also historical fountains in Rumelikavagi such as; Ruznamaci Ibrahim Efendi,Yusuf aga,Abdulhamit Han and Huseyin Sirri Pasa fountains.There is Dikilikaya on the coast side ,it is one of the historical attraction points of Rumelikavagi.
